Hi, this is Jason with Twin Cities Homebuyers recording this quick update video on COVID-19 and the upcoming Shelter In Place Orders given by Governor Walz here in Minnesota and how that impacts the real estate business in particular. So real estate services are actually considered an essential service currently according to the order so we will be continuing to look at properties and and do showings and stuff like that. I believe the open houses, they’re not recommending doing any open houses at this point and to, of course, take precautionary measures, which we do on our appointments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
If you are thinking about selling your house, I just wanted to record this quick video and let you know that we are still out doing appointments, looking at houses, and doing closings. Title companies are still at this point doing closings. We just had one this morning. The Shelter-In-Place Order becomes effective tonight, March 27th at 11:59 p.m. Runs for two weeks [extended to May 4th], so during that time there’s many different businesses that are affected.
There is more information on the specifics of the Shelter-in-Place Order that might affect various businesses.
